Everything is Clear, Unless It’s Not
Have you heard the phrase, “clarity is kindness” before? Being clear in communication with others decreases their confusion, increases their trust in you, and potentially eliminates missteps between you and others. There is little room for argument about how clarity between people is mutually beneficial to a relationship, whether it is personal, professional, or otherwise. But have you considered how your own clarity within yourself impacts how you move about the world? Have you lost it somewhere along the way, and need to find your clarity again?
When you are moving about life without clarity, you may notice yourself:
- Not feeling connected to your purpose
- Moving from idea to idea, or job to job, not feeling fulfilled
- Feeling like there is something missing
- Unease about not doing something you should be doing (or feeling that you are doing something you shouldn’t be)
Few people feel this way their entire lives. More often, a change occurs in life, throwing off your sense of direction. You may wobble a bit before you regain your footing, and then you carry on in the new direction. Sometimes, however, you aren’t sure how this new direction fits into your life, or how you fit into this new future. And the end result can be feeling lost.
Where Does This Show Up?
Not having a sense of clarity can impact our satisfaction in our personal and professional lives. Dissatisfying jobs and careers, unclear educational goals, and a general sense of wandering without purpose can be results of a lack of clarity.
What Does Clarity Feel Like?
When you have clarity, you feel a sense of determination in how you move through life and what you do. You have a “Why” and a “How,” leading to a fulfilled sense of purpose.
When you have clarity, you may notice:
- Feeling like your actions are connected to a sense of purpose
- You are able to carry things through to completion
- Feeling fulfilled, like you are doing what you were put on the Earth to do
When you have clarity in your life and feel that what you are doing is connected to your higher purpose, you may experience more flow state: when you are so tuned into to the task at hand that you lose track of time and are incredibly productive. You finish most days with a feeling of fulfillment in the day’s work. This can lead to a tremendous sense of satisfaction.
Finding Your Clarity
As with reconnecting with your power, identifying your strengths is crucial. When working toward clarity, knowing your strengths helps you to determine how you can leverage them in the future. Exploring your strengths, getting to know why they are strengths, and how you have used them guides future use.
Finding your clarity requires identifying what is important to you, your center, your desired focus. In this process, determining what is not important to you is just as crucial. When you open yourself to this exploration, new thoughts and ideas often surface, leading you to your intended path. By exploring deeply with a fresh perspective, you gain the clarity you need to bring a sense of fulfillment and purpose.
Guidance Along the Way
Finding your clarity can be so satisfying, and at the same time can feel quite overwhelming. Having support in this exploration can help bridge the gap between, “I don’t know,” and “I do know, and I am doing it!”
Imagine having a skilled professional there for you as you navigate your way back to your clarity. Someone who holds space for you, guiding you in recognizing your strengths. A professional who gently assists you in uncovering your roadblocks, and supports you as you move past them. Someone who honors you as a whole person without judgement, and creates a safe space for you to explore, define, and achieve your goals. Sound good? Want to know more? Here is how it works.
